Knife River is committed to developing people. With a state of the art and one-of-a-kind training facility, Knife River is building the capacity to grow and sustain. The Training Coordinator will work as a member of the Training & Development Team based out of our world-class Knife River Training Center. The function of the Training Coordinator is to support the delivery of training in civil construction, equipment operation, leadership, sales, coaching, safety and more, at the training center and in the field, by organizing and assisting in the deployment of resources including personnel, materials/equipment, and time, to meet local, regional, and corporate goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
*Demonstrable experience in project management, including the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
*Ability to travel approximately up to 30%
*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Word, Excel, Publisher
Preferred Requirements/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*3+ years of relevant experience in an administrative/executive assistant or management level position
*Familiarity and/or experience in adult education theory and delivery
*Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
*Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent decision making and organizational skills
*Strong drive to achieve and continue learning
Additional Information
*Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the scheduling and delivery of training and instruction at KRTC as well as in the field
*Receive, track, and communicate with trainees as requested by Training Leaders, including pre and post training information
*Assist in determining appropriate deployment of training resources - at the local, regional, and KRTC level to achieve priorities and objectives
*Manage and maintain the schedule of training resources (personnel, materials, equipment, and time)
*Schedule and coordinate classes, seminars, etc. at the Knife River Training Center as well as in the field
*Maintain current and accurate information regarding training courses on various platforms
*Provide appropriate notice of offered courses to stakeholders and strategic partners
*Maintain registration processes, accurate wait lists and class rosters, as well as records of attendance in tracking systems
*Accurately track student success and progress
*Manage publishing of curriculum (physical and virtual) by working with third party vendors and through the LMS system
*Ensure that all resources necessary for successful delivery of training is available for instructors - including compiling and shipping necessary materials to offsite locations, arranging equipment rentals, and securing offsite training facilities
*Complete corporate inner company tuition billing processes monthly
*Assist in the maintenance and operation of Knife River Training Center
