Description
Position Summary:
Provide comprehensive support to the production team, specifically the Project Managers and Superintendent(s), facilitating the coordination between administrative efforts and the field production efforts. This position will work closely with the production team to deliver projects on schedule, within the budget, while providing a high level of customer service. This position will be exposed to every aspect of project management from job hand-off to post job review.
Position Functions:
Provide support services for multiple projects running concurrently
Assist the Production Department with daily coordination and communication to facilitate the flow and control of all project documents, information and materials required to ensure the organized flow and profitability of assigned projects
Create and control the contents of project files, coordinate the flow of communication of paperwork and activities associated with any project
Assist with or complete the ordering of job specific materials, equipment, or miscellaneous items using approved PO procedures and cost codes
Assist PMs and Superintendents with the mobilization of the project (required materials available when needed, rental equipment, portable toilet, housing, job specific book for foremen, etc.)
Ensure project crew leaders and their crews have what they need each day to perform their duties
efficiently and safely
Attend regular meetings with the internal project team, document project and delegation of
responsibilities
Requirements:
Minimum of one (1) year of construction industry experience; construction management
certifications/degree
Critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi-tasking,
Follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting,
A professional sense of urgency to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
Strong attention to detail
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Must have a valid driver's license.
Lifting to 70 pounds and comfortable visiting project job sites about 10-20% of the time (without fear of heights)
Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with associate
