General Summary

UFP Packaging is a building material company that manufactures, distributes, and sells a wide variety of value-added products used in construction, packaging, and other industrial applications worldwide. As UFP continues to grow, we are looking for hard-working, smart, goal oriented and creative interns to grow with us! The intern hired for this position should expect to learn all facets of the manufacturing, sales, and logistic side of our business. With a rotational program, you will be working with different departments and gaining experience and knowledge to further your growth in your field of study.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops a comprehensive knowledge of Company products and procedures through on-the-job training activities.
• Learns how to operate the Company's business system in order to perform required administrative functions.
• Develops working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, efficiency standards, and safety.
• Learns how logistics and supply chain management is utilized to support our model.
• Assists in sales, customer service, and production activities as assigned.
• Will have a summer project assigned at the beginning of the internship which will be presented at the end of the summer period.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge in the use of a computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc.)
