Partner Payroll Tax Analyst

Status: Full-Time

Location: 25117 SW Parkway Ave. Wilsonville, OR (Hybrid)

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00

Job Summary

The Payroll/Tax Analyst has a full range of responsibilities for employment tax compliance related to the Payroll Tax, tax audits, software maintenance and innovation, UKG payment services balance adjustments, and federal and state tax law research and registration for all Avamere corporate entities.

The Analyst will perform tasks related to analysis, execution, and support the Payroll Manager with audit of payroll processing. Maintain the utmost confidentiality in dealing with employee records and business information. Required to work independently and may assist in specialized assignments.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Review and correct data and create and manage reports
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company and the retirement plans.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Assist and facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger regarding all salary, payroll taxes, and payroll liabilities
Prepare end-of-year documentation and reports for Accounting, Corporate Tax, FP&A and management
Review quarterly payroll tax forms for Federal, State and Local agencies to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Process and review all wage & tax adjustments, amendments, and W2Cs as needed
Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting.
Prepare monthly/quarterly Workers Compensation reporting
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions.
Apply various UltiPro technologies and techniques to a wide variety of projects
Optimize UltiPro payroll business processes, and configuration to better suit our organization

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, human resource management or related field
5 or more years of payroll/payroll tax experience
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
UKG/UltiPro experience is highly preferred
Healthcare Payroll/Benefit knowledge a plus
Strong attention to detail
Excellent proven Customer Service skills
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel
Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
