The Partners Group currently has an outstanding opportunity for a client-facing financial planning professional to join our Wealth Management team as a Wealth Planner based in our Portland, OR office.

How you will have an impact at TPG

The Wealth Planner is a trusted advisor who empowers clients to make informed financial decisions and achieve their desired financial future.

What a typical day in this role looks like:

  • Guide clients towards their financial goals by identifying key financial issues, recommending solutions, and helping clients achieve their aspirations.
  • Build strong relationships, understand client needs, and offer personalized financial advice.
  • Expand client solutions by recommending a wide range of financial products and services to fit individual needs.
  • Identify and connect clients with specialists for complex needs.
  • Develop relationships within and outside the company to benefit clients and build partnerships
  • Maintain deep knowledge of financial markets and competitor landscapes.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to execute client strategies

Key details

Location: Portland, OR; in-office with hybrid remote opportunities

Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Salary Range: $120,000-140,000 annually (DOE) plus bonus opportunities

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.

Travel: Minimal

What you’ll bring to the table

  • At minimum, an undergraduate degree in a business-related field 
  • 7+ years of demonstrated planning and business development experience, with proven results using the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • Currently holds or can attain Series 65 license within 90 days of hire date.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products and relevant regulations.
  • Strong client advisory skills.
  • Financial planning skillset and familiarity with eMoney as planning tool.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external needs. 
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish language desired (conversational, reading, and writing)
  • A high level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail
  • Strong self-sufficiency and able to work independently, as well as in team settings
